Track 2
Room 907 – The Jubilee Project: Using Social Media for Social Good
Speaker: Jason Y. Lee

YouTube has become a powerful medium for the API community and put artists like David Choi, Clara C and Wong Fu on the map. The Jubilee Project has joined this notable API YouTube community but with a twist - they make videos for a good cause. Jason Y. Lee, the founder of The Jubilee Project, speaks about the project, shares many of their videos to date and several lessons about using social media to do good that they've learned along the way.

Track 3
Room 910 – Radical Roots: 5 Years of NYCAASC Alumni
Speakers: Agnes Chung, Eric Ho, Lily Yuan, Melissa Zhang, Venancio Cabel Moderator: June Kao

The NYCAASC planning board proudly presents its first-ever alumni panel.

Though New York City is a diverse metropolis filled with many communities, NYCAASC is relatively younger than similar conferences in other parts of the country. In fact, five years ago, New York City did not host a single local Asian American student conference until NYCAASC was first formed by a coalition of students from NYU and Columbia. Today, we continue to take pride in our humble roots and growing network of passionate alumni board members. In this panel, our distinguished speakers return "home" and share stories about how they became involved in NYCAASC, how they grew from the conference planning experience, and finally, how they've learned skills for the professional world. Learn how to get involved!
